Inherently human.

EBKaC labs is named for an old joke — “Error Between Keyboard and Chair.” We build small, careful tools for the humans who use them.

Why we exist

The mistakes aren't the bug — they're the spec.

Software gets built for the humans who use it, by the humans who write it. Both groups are messy. We take that as a starting point, not a problem.

What we do

Three kinds of work, one premise: start with the human.

  1. 01

    Apps & tools

Small, sharp tools. Most of them started as something we needed and couldn't find — they do one job well, run in your browser and get out of the way.

  2. 02

    Community software

Software for grassroots groups — starting with HomeTurf for community sport — built with the people who use it.

  3. 03

    AI consulting

AI consulting, mostly for teams who've been burned by AI consulting. Practical, human-centred work: assistants and automations that do the busywork so people can do the real work.
